He was born on November 11, 1939 to the late Wiley Joyner, Sr. and Ruth Vann Joyner in Hertford Co., NC. He was employed as a roofer. Leroy leaves to cherish his memories: a special friend, Christine Cofield of Ahoskie, NC; son, Marquis Pittman of Norfolk, VA; nine sisters, Ruby Burden, Shirley Fennell, Gloria Fennell (Roy), Patricia Deans and Evelyn Joyner all of Ahoskie, NC; Eunice Britt, Lillie Fennell and Sallie Joyner all of Aulander, NC and Estella Washington of Hampton VA; two brothers, Wiley Joyner, Jr. and Terry Joyner (Cynthia) both of Ahoskie, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
